Joseph
Lijo Joseph (affectionately referred to as Tenor X) was born a poor
white boy in the rough streets of Bombay, India, destined to do one
thing: sing a capella music in ranges no man was meant to.
His parents saw the bright lights of Houston and decided if they could
make it there, they could make it anywhere. Lijo started singing in
middle school and has never stopped (amid the comments like "dude,
you sing like a girl..."). School choirs, small groups, bands,
madrigals, octets, sextets, quartets, trios, duets, show groups, dance
troupes, theater, he's heard of them all.
Lijo spent most of his life getting by on his stunning good looks and
his odd sense of direction, not to mention the witty, outgoing personality
he uses to mask the insecurity of being slightly dim and overwhelmingly
trusting. Fortunately the Lager Rhythms used this to their advantage
by using big words and numerous shiny objects, not to mention crazy
promises of singing till his vocal cords ripped.
His pastimes include quoting Simpsons/Family Guy/Back to the Future,
marketing, his wife and some parenting on the side.
