< Week 2 >
There is no way I can sustain
anyone's interest (including my own) on a daily basis anymore. We're going
to weekly pages. If that...
Since around
day 9 or 10, they've slowly started opening their eyes. They're also getting
friskier and more kittenlike. I have no way of capturing it on film, but Guinness
is starting to develop that whole sensual cat thing. She's the only one I've
caught doing the kitty kneading thing while nursing, and once again, while
my friend Leisa was over, she started purring during her dinner, too. (No,
not Leisa, the kitten, Guinness. Follow me here.) And, yes, once again, we
did the girly thing. "oooooh! teehee teehee!" Ick. Guinness also
loves being scratched on the belly and behind the ears (she's such a girl),
while the boys are still rather insecure about the whole thing.
"Hi guys! Look! I'm starting
to open my eyes. I look kind of goofy, 'cos they're not all the way open,
but I can already recognize a camera! How about that for a learning curve?
Do you need an autograph? I can do a super paw print. How 'bout a cereal box.
Frosted Flakes, maybe? They'rrrrre Grrrreat! How was that? Was that good?
Do I get a contract? Hi mom!!!"
